Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are an advanced option, with stronger durability and a longer lifespan. Due to their elite material, porcelain veneers are stain-resistant with a lifespan of approximately 15 years.

Porcelain veneers often have a more natural look to them, this is due to their high customisability. From colour to shape and even texture, Porcelain veneers can be created to match your natural teeth if you only need one or two, or can be a bright white for those looking for a ‘Hollywood Smile’!

The porcelain option takes more preparation than their composite counterparts: a week or two is required while our in-house ceramist creates them based on your desired colour and shape.

Unlike composite veneers, porcelain are a permanent solution that requires preparation including tooth ‘shaving’. This is where part of the tooth is removed for the porcelain veneer to replace, ensuring the thickness of the tooth remains natural and comfortable.

Composite Veneers

Composite veneers are made from a resin-based material, an advanced form of plastic.
Composite veneers are an attractive option for those who are price and time conscious. Composite veneers do not need to be prepared in the lab prior to application; they are shaped, freehand, directly on to the tooth’s surface and do not require tooth ‘shaving’. Therefore, they can be applied in one single visit.

Composite is a strong material but not as durable as porcelain so they have a shorter lifespan of 2 to 5 years.
